About The Event
Come and put a face to the voice, as Hathern Garden Club welcomes Karen Gimson,
BBC Radio Leicester's gardening guru, to give one of the last in its current series of talks.
Karen has been a garden designer and travelling head gardener for large gardens for 25 years.
She is an ambassador for Rainbows Hospice for children and young people in Loughborough
and is a member of the county team for Leicestershire National Gardens Scheme.
She lives in Leicestershire and gardens a one-acre plot, focussing on attracting wildlife and growing
as much fruit, vegetables and cut flowers as she can. Karen also writes a weekly column for Garden News Magazine.
This evening, she'll be taking us through a whole range of planting ideas,
designed to deliver maximum year-round colour.
It's free for Garden Club members, but, for a small charge, everyone is welcome to join us
and enjoy what promises to be a fascinating and inspiring evening.
