About The Event
In honour of the brave young men of Hathern who lost their lives in World Wars I and II the History Society will be holding an exhibition in Hathern Church.The exhibition will tell the story of each man
whose name is on the War Memorial and on the plaque in the church. A special feature
will concentrate on the cousins ‘Pim’ Swift and Phillip Price (grandsons of J. Alex Swift)
who had both joined the RAF but were sadly killed in action. We will be showing details of their early
life, military training and live operations in enemy territory.
