Hathern Band Open Rehearsal

The ethos of Hathern Band is that of a community brass band which produces its own musicians. Youngsters are taught not only to play an instrument, but also music theory in a relaxed and fun environment. They move through the learning groups and the Musical Director monitors their development to ensure they receive the challenges and encouragement to become better players. There is no charge for tuition or instruments. Come along and see our youngsters in action at our open practice. We start at 6.00pm and each of the groups will be in action. There’s an open invitation to any youngster to “have a go and blow”. Some of those you will see this evening started their musical journey in just this way at a Big Week open practice.
