Hathern Wildlife Group - Developing the Wildlife Area

Hathern Wildlife Group has carried out many projects including tree, hedge and bulb planting. Wildflower meadow areas have been created in the park, cemetery and churchyard providing a reminder of the hay meadows of old. 

In 2021, the parish council provided some land within the Shepshed Road allotments to be developed as a managed wildlife area. The group has created a range of habitats there including a pond and has used recycled material wherever possible.
