Normanton Chain Ferry

Why not take a summer walk across the fields from Hathern down to the River Soar, then a ferry journey across the river to Normanton and a well earned pint at The Plough Inn? We will be meeting at Hathern Cross at 11.00am.

Alternatively, you could make your own way, picnic on the Hathern side of the river and then venture across to have a look around the village. There will be a talk about the historic chain ferry at The Plough at 12.30pm
